2008 Program
During 2008, the Mobile Film School’s educational media programming will focus on the rural, underserved communities of Texas. Plans are underway to expand our programmingnationally in 2009, in addition to our continued Lone Star workshops.
2008 Six Digital Film Media Workshops diverse programming includes:
- Four (4) Documentary Film workshops (2 eight days each and 2 fourteen day)
- Two (2) Narrative Film and Acting Workshops (fourteen days each)
- Potential student participation: 150 students, ages 15-19
2008 Targeted Workshop locations in underserved communities includes:
- Travis County: targeted community of Del Valle, Texas
- Caldwell County: targeted community of Luling & Lockhart, Texas
- Hays County: targeted communities of Buda & Kyle, Texas
2008 Educational/Sponsored Outreach Events:
- Premiere community screenings of completed workshop films
- PowerFlickers Short Film Festival @ Austin Pecan Street Festival – May & September
- Student Pitch Session @ Austin Film Festival - October
- Student Pitch Session @ AFI/Dallas, TX - March
- Student Pitch Session @ Little Rock Film Festival - May
- Frequent panelist and participant at Film Festivals throughout the country
