We Won! Our first workshop students are now award winning filmmakers:

The Manor ISD student film, In a Place Like This (produced in February 2007), won “Best Documentary” AND “Best of Show” at the Josiah Youth Media Film Festival. Students Janie Richards, Robert Barnes and I attended the event. We all agreed that the quality of films was impressive, making it a great honor to win. For the Best Documentary award, the students received a $200 gift certificate, for Best of Show a $300 award. The $500 total can be used towards equipment purchases from the B&H Video and Audio Equipment Catalog. Janie and Robert turned right around and donated the certificate to MFS on behalf of the Manor students. How cool is that!We are grateful to Marcus and Nancy Neundorf, parents of artist Josiah Miles Neundorf, for their dedication and support of young media artists.
