Arenella, Susan

Susan Arenella is a transactional business attorney and partner at the law firm of Lawrence Arenella Satija, LLP in Austin, Texas. She represents a broad range of businesses and devotes a significant potion of her practice to representing those in the creative industries, including animation, digital game technology, independent film, and publishing. Prior to private practice, Susan worked as Assistant Attorney General in the Antitrust Section of the Texas Attorney General’s office, pursuing legal remedies against businesses engaged in anti-competitive practices and negotiating divestitures in several multi-billion dollar corporate mergers and acquisitions in the energy sector. In addition to teaching an ongoing class for small business owners at the University of Texas Informal Classes, Susan is a frequent speaker on business law issues for SCORE, the City of Austin Small Business Development Program, the Austin Bar Association's People's Law School, and other conferences and events held in the Greater Austin area. Susan received her J.D. from the University of Texas and her undergraduate degree in history from the University of California at Irvine. She is licensed to practice law before the Texas Supreme Court and the U.S. District Courts for the Western and Northern Districts of Texas. In addition, Susan is member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, the Austin Bar Association and the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce.
